HSUHK IKE Collaborated with Shanghai University MBA Tour 2024 for a Transformative Learning Experience

The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK)’s Institute of Knowledge Exchange (IKE) partnered with the Shanghai University MBA Tour 2024 to host a five-day program (10–14 July 2024) focused on knowledge sharing, innovation, and professional growth. With a carefully curated itinerary, participants explored entrepreneurship, financial markets, cutting-edge technology, sustainability, and cultural heritage.

 

Day 1: Entrepreneurship and Innovation at HSUHK

The program began with an engaging session led by Prof. John Leung, Associate Vice-President for Knowledge Exchange at HSUHK, and Dr. Kenneth Kwon, a renowned expert in the startup ecosystem. Their lecture, titled “Entrepreneurship: From Start, Success to Sustain,“ provided participants with key insights into building and scaling innovative ventures.

 

Day 2: Corporate Visits to HKSTP and Towngas

Participants visited the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP), where they learned about the HTI-HK production site and the role of technological innovation in driving success.

In the afternoon, they toured Towngas, gaining insights into its innovative energy solutions and exploring the Hall of Innovation & Future Energy.

 

Day 3: Insights into Financial Markets and Corporate Integrity

The third day included two key visits:

HKEX Exhibition Center: Participants explored the evolution of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, discovering its pivotal role in Asia’s financial markets. Discussions focused on AI’s application in data-driven futures and the convergence of AI with computing power.

ICAC: This visit emphasized the importance of integrity in corporate and public sectors, where participants learned about ICAC’s history, prevention strategies, and landmark cases.

 

Day 4: Technological Innovation and 5G Applications

Day 4 featured a visit to China Unicom, where Dr. Kenny Siu delivered a lecture on “Innovation and Disruptive Technologies in Management.” Participants gained insights into advancements in 5G technology and its role in smart city development and automation.

At Solowin Holding Ltd., the company’s CEO shared strategies on leveraging innovation and sustainability to drive success, highlighting their forward-thinking initiatives.

 

Day 5: Sustainability and Cultural Conservation

The final day included lectures from Dr. John Leung and Dr. Albert Chung, who discussed sustainable business practices and carbon neutrality.

The program concluded with a visit to Tai Kwun, where participants explored cultural conservation efforts in Hong Kong, and a wrap-up session that reflected on the key takeaways from the tour.
